Project Highlight: Emerson Tower Custom Lobby LED
THE PROJECT
DCBolt partnered with McCann Systems to deliver a custom video wall in the lobby of the newly-minted Emerson Tower in Clayton, Missouri. Completed in 2023, this $250 million, 1 million sqft state-of-the-art office building serves as a symbol of the reinvigoration of the St. Louis area. As such, the client was looking for an architectural wow factor that would make a powerful first impression to anyone who entered the building.
McCann developed and installed a hanging system for a direct-view LED display that contours perfectly to the lobby facade. This 2.6mm, 80’ x 15’ 1,000 NIT LED boasts an overall resolution of 9,408 x 1,824 using the latest module technology.
DCBolt served as the primary content provider for the system, diving into a period of brand discovery to better understand the business goals and target audience.

DCBolt had the challenge of creating captivating 3D content to fit a custom 10k pixel space that would look equally as stunning in all lighting environments. We created a series of seasonal and atmospheric content environments that transformed the entire lobby experience for any passerby's: A majestical forrest scene, a street graffiti montage, a waterfall effect, and a Hogwart's-esque library scene are just a few of the many backdrops our content team created for this one-of-a-kind digital canvas.
Like all of our systems, the client has the flexibility to utilize the screen however suites them best. The client has the option of displaying the content as a full screen "takeover", or can select from any number of custom content templates to overlay additional informative content such as a stock and weather ticker, and strategically placed windows for live news feeds. They can also display advertising content, useful building information, or even tenant-specific content.
They can also utilize the lobby space for live events and we will accommodate any custom content requests therein!
